My partner bought this karaoke machine for me for Christmas. Initially he had ordered on 12/9/08 and had them ship it via overnight FedEx, but he didn’t receive the package overnight. The package did not go out for 9 days and then took 4 days to arrive. Meanwhile, he contacted The Song Station to tell them this was happening and he received an e-mail from them saying they were overwhelmed with orders, but he’d definitely receive it by the 20th of Dec., he got it on the 22nd. When he contacted FedEx, he found out it was not only NOT overnight, but that it was an international shipment from Singapore. He thought it was coming from Oregon, as detailed on their website. Upon my receiving the karaoke machine at holiday, we found that the American version of the karaoke disk was corrupt and unusable. Furthermore, upon attempting to contact The Song Station and get a replacement, they NEVER answered, until we contacted Paypal (the only payment method they use) and told them of the problems. Paypal threatened to withhold payment, so someone answered us saying a new disk was shipped one week prior. The disk was never shipped, it was a lie - we never received it. And beware of Paypal because they did NOT stand behind the customer and stop payment to these thieves. They said there was nothing they could do. The telephone number is non-working and is somehow connected to China, but we cannot get through to anyone. The area code given is not an Oregon area code. Everything about their website now appears to be fake and may be a front for a Chinese company. The testimonials sound like mechanical recordings. He also purchased a 2 year warranty that now seems useless, because they are not trustworthy in their communication. We filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC.
